   Lake of the Returned Sword

   Hồ Hoàn Kiếm, meaning “Lake of the Returned Sword” or “Lake of the Restored Sword”, also known as Hồ Gươm – Sword Lake) is a lake in the historical center of Hanoi, the Capital of Vietnam . The lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal point for its public life. We consider this lake as the Spiritual Heart of Hanoi. Please bring a Camera to you when visiting here, you will have some beautiful photos to keep in your memory or even you can make some masterpieces if you are good at photographing.

   Hanoi Old Streets

   Pho co Hanoi, Hanoi Old Streets, or called
   “The Old Quarter”, it is located on an area of about 100 ha, within the territory of Hoan Kiem district, near to Sword Lake. These old streets’ name has “Hang” at the beginning, such as Hang Ngang, Hang Dao, Hang Ma, Hang Da, Hang Cot, Hang Than…. . ‘Hang’ in Vietnamese means ‘merchandise’ and the street was named after the particular merchandise sold. But nowadays it just remains few streets still sell the original merchandise. Walking through these streets to see, talk with Hanoian or buy some souvenirs are very interesting for those who want to learn about Hanoi and Hanoian lifestyle.
